Description

I wasn’t a fan of the original rims on the Alesis Nitro Mesh Kit pads, so I designed a lower-profile replacement.

The base is printed in PETG with 10% infill and 4 walls for strength and rigidity.

The upper rim is printed in TPU with 1 wall line and 5% infill to provide a softer contact surface and reduce stick impact.

To improve adhesion between the two parts, I enabled the “interface shells” option in the slicer.

If you don’t have a multi-extruder printer, you can pause the print at layer 85 (with a 0.2 mm layer height) and manually switch to TPU.

For better adhesion, I recommend printing the first TPU layer at a slightly higher temperature than usual.
