Description
The Scorpion-Bane Folding Knife is a prop designed for fidgeting and cosplay. It is not intended for cutting or practical use, and should be treated as a toy or display item only. With a smooth, track-guided folding action and an ergonomic handle, the folding mechanism mimics the strike of a scorpion.
I had a great time designing this and picking up some new skills along the way. I plan on creating more blades in this style in the future, so I’d appreciate any feedback in the comments!
Instructions:
- Print the model using your preferred filament—no supports are required. You can print the full set at once with the provided file, or print individual parts in different colors or materials.
- All parts can be printed flat on the build plate, except for the joint, which should be printed on its side. Please refer to the full set file for guidance.
Assembly:
- Align the parts in its closed configuration and drive a screw into each hole.
- Assemble the joint (the part with three holes) with the rounded edge facing the blade.
- The finished blade should glide smoothly. If it doesn’t, try loosening a screw or two slightly at the point where it's binding.
Required Hardware:
- 5 - M3x12 Screws (overall length of 15mm)
