Description

This is a mount designed to fit a Cardo Packtalk Pro or Packtalk Edge intercom in a clean, low-profile way without relying on the standard adhesive mount.

I originally made it for my own helmet because I wanted a more integrated and minimalist installation. Instead of attaching the Cardo unit with a glue-on base placed awkwardly on the outside of the helmet, this mount provides a neater and more secure solution.

The design is intended for general helmet use, as long as the shape and mounting area are suitable. Compatibility will depend on the helmet shell, trim shape, and available space at the mounting point, so some helmets may fit better than others.

This model was created by combining and adapting proven mount geometry into a version suitable for the Cardo Packtalk Pro / Edge platform. The result is a compact and stable adapter that holds the unit firmly while keeping the overall look as clean as possible.

On my setup it works very well, feels secure, and gives a much more integrated appearance than a standard external adhesive base.

Printing recommendations

This part can be printed in several functional materials:

  • PETG: the easiest practical choice for most users. Good toughness, good layer adhesion, and easy to print. Suitable for test fitting and regular use, though not the most heat-resistant option.

  • ABS: a solid functional option with better heat resistance than PETG. Best printed in an enclosed printer to reduce warping.

  • ASA: likely the best choice for long-term outdoor use. It offers similar strength and heat resistance to ABS, with better UV resistance.

For most users:

  • choose PETG for easy printing

  • choose ABS if you want better heat resistance

  • choose ASA for the best outdoor durability

I would not recommend PLA for this application.

For best results, print with:

  • strong wall count

  • medium to high infill

  • good layer adhesion

  • an orientation that maximizes strength in the clip and mounting sections

Supports may be required depending on your slicer settings and print orientation.

Important note

This is not a universal fit for every helmet, but rather a general mounting solution that may work on many helmets with suitable geometry. Please check dimensions and fit carefully before use, and test thoroughly before riding.

I’ve uploaded the STL and print files for anyone who wants to try it.

Use at your own discretion.
