Tour Eiffel MINI-ature – Tháp Eiffel mini (2 phần) cho Prusa MINI

This Tour Eiffel MINI-ature (Miniature for the Prusa MINI) :-) …. took me long time and several stops and restarts from frustration. I modeled this miniature starting from a metallic miniature and using pictures of this iconic tower. 

Cette MINI-ature de la Tour Eiffel (Miniarure pour la Prusa MINI) :-) … m'a pris très long temps et beaucoup d’arrêts et de redémarrages pour la frustration. Je l'ai modelée à partir d'une miniature en métal (Souvenir de Paris) et avec des images de cette tour incontournable. 

I wanted to become more and more proficient in modeling complex structures in FreeCAD and Blender and wanted to bring my Prusa MINI+ to the limit of its capability….But it did good! :-)

Je voulais arriver à maîtriser la création de structures compliquées dans FreeCAD et Blender et je voulais aussi presser ma Prusa MINI+ à son max de potentiel ….Mais elle a bien tenu le coup! :-) 

Design software:

FreeCAD for all structural portions (beams / trusses). 

Blender for the assembly, the mesh consolidation and cleanup and the optimization of the model. 

Can be very challenging for 3D printing for stringing, bridging and bed adhesion. 

Dimensions: 137 x 137 x 304 mm (assembled). Split in two portions to be printed on my Prusa MINI+.

Printing Details: 

Printer: Prusa MINI+

Material: Prusament PLA “My silverness”, printed at 208°C (found to be the best compromise for my printer and settings)

Infill: 60_%_

Nozzle: 0.4mm

Layer Height: 0.15mm

Supports_: Yes, detachable snug support in the core of the tower._
