Description

Liberate your iMac! Opening a 2012-2020 iMac is a tricky procedure that involves slicing through adhesive securing the display panel to the rear case. Rather than apply a new set of adhesive to cut through again next time you want to repair or upgrade something inside your trusty old iMac, print out a set of iMac Ears to hold your display shut without the glue.

iMac Ears slip onto the four corners of the iMac and are held in place with a loop of elastic cord (⅛” or 3 mm, also commonly called shock cord, and available online or at your local fabric or hardware store). The loop fits into the groove on each iMac Ear and pulls them in snug against the frame, pinching the display securely against the rear case.

Installation notes: Install iMac Ears in the vertical orientation with the flat interior side against the glass and the beveled side against the back.

Compatible with all 21.5" and 27"  (2012-2020) Intel-powered iMacs, including iMac Pro.
