Description
SPACEBALLS THE BELT BUCKLE!
Working on a costume for Dark Helmet and remade the belt buckle from various sources.
I have also included my Blender file in case it is helpful for others who want to make edits. I have left the text and curve layers in place in case you want to change the font, scale, and spacing of the text as well.
The post is a WIP. More details to come. But for the most part it is self explanatory.
I am also reworking the helmet so it is split into printable parts.
Printing Suggestions:
The Coin Holder: I have included my 3mf File for reference. For the belt buckle/coin holder, I tilted it to rest on the lower points and then cut off 2mm of the model so that it had better bed adhesion. I highly recommend having the lower parts surrounded by supports to make sure it does not dislodge in printing. You can use basic snug supports for this and it uses very little filament.
The Coin: Print with a brim and with no 1st layer. The back of the coin is not seen and this saves a lot of print time and filament. I also suggest variable layer height to get the best top face resolution. If you do not have a really high resolution printer, you may get better quality by printing it standing on edge with supports to keep it secure.
