Description
This design was inspired by the Nite Ize CurvyMan Cord Supervisor which no longer appear to be made. They are available on line for a lot more than I remember paying for them. They were intended for use in managing excess headphone cable, and I have several. They work really well.
This version is made to be printed, and it is sized to be used with paracord. The version shown below is the LittleCurvyMan printed in PETG with 0.35-mm layer height and 50% fill. This is my second copy. They last a long time, even with the bike outside all the time. I would make the next one in ASA should I need another copy.
It is designed to manage excess paracord that is in use, not a big ole hank of paracord. The tail of the paracord to comes in through the back of the “head” and then the excess is wrapped around the body until it is mostly wrapped up, then the tip of the tail is pulled in to the "mouth" on the "head" to keep the paracord wrapped up. Mine holds about 18-in of excess paracord that is part of an adjustable bike anchoring loop which I use to keep my recumbent bicycle from blowing over when it is parked. The tip of the paracord tail has a knot tied in it to keep the LittleCurvyMan from coming off when the full cord length is in use.
Material, fill percentage and layer height are flexible. A brim may be useful, support is not required.
