Description
Sewing machines have very tight spaces to access the screws for the presser foot, needle, feed dog, etc. I made this magnetic bit holder, as even the small screwdrivers provided with the machine were too large.
The cylindrical shape helps keep the bit perpendicular to the screw. The knurling helps with grip. The recessed top allow a finger to press it onto the screw and keep it centered.
16mm in diameter. 27mm tall. 17mm hex recess depth. 15mm finger recess radius.
I initially had a slot in the side to place the magnet into, but evolved the design to be two parts. It looks cleaner and ensures the magnet is trapped.
Insert a 10mm diameter magnet less than 3mm thick into the lower portion and glue the top on.
