This mod was tested on a VCore 4 500 Hybrid and should also work on the 400 and 300, as it is not height-dependent. IDEX compatibility has not been checked, so please proceed with caution if you are running an IDEX configuration.

Bill of Materials (BOM)

• 2 × 3030 M6 T-nuts

• 2 × M6 × 12 mm screws

• 1 × 15 × 10 cable chain (Mine came from my leftover Voron 2.4 build)

• 2 × M3 × 10 flat-head screws

• 2 × DIN562 M3 square nuts

• 2 × M3 × 10 SHCS

• Optional: 2 × 3-way WAGO connectors for bed-fan wiring

Installation Instructions

1. Disconnect power and unplug all wiring from the electrical box. Remove the wires from the existing passthrough opening.

2. Attach the cable chain to the rear arm mount, taking care not to stress or snap the two pegs.

3. Install the opposite end of the chain using the two M3 square nuts and the M3 flat-head screws.

4. Install the rear arm mounts onto the frame.

5. Install the rear slot mount and align it with the original passthrough hole.

6. Route all wiring through the cable chain.

   • The thermistor wires will need to be extended.

   • The ground wire should be shortened, otherwise you’ll have roughly 50 cm of excess cable.

7. Home all axes, perform Z-tilt, and carefully verify that the chain length is correct and moves freely without binding.

8. Power off the printer and install the rear slot guide piece.

   • This prevents the chain from riding on the linear rail when Z < ~300.

   • Clearance is tight, so double-check that nothing contacts the guide throughout the Z range.

• Layer height: 0.2mm

• Extrusion width: 0.4mm, forced

• Infill percentage: 40%

• Infill type: grid, gyroid, honeycomb, triangle, or cubic

• Wall count: 4

• Solid top/bottom layers: 5
