Please note: this is designed to be a press-fit INSIDE a blast gate (or dust hood) with a 4-inch OD, as shown below:

… which is exactly how the POWERTEC 70291 (after which this was styled) fits inside a blast gate (or dust hood) with a 4-inch OD, as shown on their Amazon listing:

PLEASE be aware this is not made to have a 4" hose clamp down on its large side. It's too small for that. 

Dust Collection 4-inch Port to 2.5-inch Hose Tapered Adapter Dust Collection Reducer Fitting

The design's dimensions are basically a match for store-bought items such as this one: *POWERTEC 70291 4” Port to 2-1/2” Hose Tapered Adapter Dust Collection Reducer Fitting. If that item would fit your need and you'd rather print it than order, pay, and wait, then this design should help. If that item would not serve your needs, then this one would require a remix first.

Please measure the opening of your port and compare it to the sizes above, and be sure this will suit your needs, before printing it.  Note the tapers on both ends.

The intended purpose of this item is connecting a standard type 4" port and a standard type 2.5" hose. Use for other purposes, or for proprietary, custom-sized ports or hoses, may or may not work. Some ports are intended to go outside, some in, and some are made of thick plastic, some thin. While the tapers help, it's impossible for one design to fit everything that claims to be a “4 inch” port. Measure twice, print once. :-)

I suggest printing with these settings:

• Filament type: PLA (I used PLA+)
• Nozzle diameter: can be 0.4mm or 0.6mm
• Layer height: 0.3mm
• Wall thickness: 0.6mm
• Number of perimeter walls: 3
• Infill: 30%

Note: The suggested layer height and wall thickness are normal for a 0.6mm nozzle, but can easily be done by a 0.4mm nozzle, in which your 0.4mm emulates a 0.6mm. This results in faster print times compared to normal settings for 0.4.
