This clip is to make it so your aquarium heater stays neatly in position up against the rear glass of your aquarium. 

My Eheim heater would always float out to the middle of my tank due to the stiffness of the cable. This bracket makes it so the cable follows the curve of the bracket and leaves the heater vertical and neatly out of the way.
