V1 of my shell was not designed to be a full enclosure. When I started having issues with prints I decided to make some changes to eliminate possibility of temperature variations from drafts and such. Along the way I improved the mounting areas of the original shell and cleaned a few things up.
I purchased the Bambu Lab front enclosure and the door mounting hardware. Some might say, “why not just purchase the P1S upgrade kit”? My answer is that I didnt want all the other things that come along with the upgrade and I only spent $58 US instead of $150. I didnt want the top cover as I normally print with PLA. I had already added the MC cooling fan. The P1S upgrade seemed unnecessary for me.
I added a flange for the top of the glass door because there is a gap between the door and P1P plastic top cover. This is printed in 2 parts, glass door bracket in PLA and the flange in TPU. Assemble it with M3x6 screws. It should slide on the top of the door glass snugly without glue or any fasteners.
The corner parts of the shell can be printed without supports as well as the upper side covers. The 2 lower side covers need supports because there are some overlapping flanges.
