Description
Long story short, I had a crappy camera mount that I had this C615 camera on and it wasn't working out. I found In3DSpace's C270 mount, like so many others, and thought it would be perfect. Only I'm an idiot and my camera isn't a C270 like I thought, but a C615.
I found it impossible to remove the mounting bars on the camera like the C270, so I just took the whole mount off the camera and modeled a little adapter to mate the camera to my already printed mount from In3DSpace.
If you go this route, be sure to save the little screw that comes out of the bottom of the camera post. This screw holds this adapter in place. Then I just used a small bolt to attach the adapter to the camera mount (since I couldn't use the pin from the camera, like the C270 does).
In the end, this provided a much better mounting system for this camera on the x-axis motor than what I had previously, and I actually have more ability to aim the camera now than before, both with pan and tilt (manual).
I printed in Prusament PETG at about 25% infill, and it hasn't been a problem. PLA may be better, but I work with what I have.
Lastly, suggest printing on its side (default model orientation) to avoid the need for any supports. Small part, prints in like 6 minutes.
