Mô tả
Floor Vinyl Records Holder – My original Design.
I could not find a 3D model of a vinyl stand with the shape, size, and style I needed so….I designed one myself!
Dimensions/Capacity:
Small version (central member only): about 447mm long, about 70 vinyl records capacity
Longer version (central member and additional central member): 592mm long, about 95 records capacity.
Design description:
This holder for vinyl records was conceived to lay on the floor but it can be set on a shelf big enough or on a raised plane if you prefer. The shape of the brackets at the extremities allow some gap with the records stack for folding one disc after the other to search through the collection. Each single member has been designed with internal ribs to reinforce the structure. Interface pins size and shape have been studied to minimize risk of cracking under the load of the many discs. The front brackets have two holes to install a 3D printed label. A label model and .gcode with “Rock” and a label with “Jazz” writings are provided. Label design can be modified in your preferred CAD or STL modeler.
Single components of the assembly are sized to fit the 180 x 180mm PRUSA Mini bed sheet.
Designed in FreeCAD and crafted in Blender.
Printing Parameters:
Material: Prusament PETG
Infill: 25%
Nozzle: 0.4mm
Layer Height: 0.2mm
Supports: Yes, use support enforcers located at the male pin locations (raised from the print bed).
Provided models (.stl format):
1) Front RH Bracket (2 x per assembly)
2) Front LH Bracket (2 x per assembly)
3) Transversal Beam (2 x per assembly)
4) Front Frame Bracket (2 x assembly)
5) Central Member (1 x assembly)
6) Central Member Additional (1 x assembly, longer version only)
7) “Jazz” label (2 x assembly)
8) “Rock” label (2 x assembly)
A *.gcode for the PRUSA Mini is provided for each of the above models.
Assembly suggestions:
Interfaces dimensional tolerances are designed to assemble components with a light interference, when made with Prusament PETG and per the chosen printing parameters for my Prusa MINI. Different printers, parameters or materials properties may change fit results. I suggest printing at first only the interfaces (males and females) with your printer and your typical PETG settings, your preferred material. This way you will be able to test a good fit between the components prior printing the whole thing. You can cut out only the interfaces with eSlicer or any other preferred Slicer.
Too much of interference can be corrected by hand crafting the male pins with an edged tool knife.
Parts can be tightly assembled with super glue if you are not planning of disassembling it. Cyanocrilate (superglue) works very well with PETG.
Enjoy!
