Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X - top riser for better airflow

Required hardware

• Phanteks Enthoo Evolv X case
• Re-use original screws from mounting brackets
• 4pc M3x4 screws to fix sideskirts to risers (optional because of friction fit, taller screws can be used as well)
• 2-4 M3x7 screws to link the sideskirts together or a hand full of tie-wraps instead

What does it do?

This mod raises the top cover with 3 centimeters to let it exhaust air far easier trough the hexagon grid all along the perimeter.

It may even provide an alternative mounting option for fans or radiators, leaving more space in the case for RGB. I haven't tested this though.

The risers fit on an Ender 3 but the "large" sideskirts as shown in the photos require a larger bed. I added a "small" version of the sideskirts that are cut up into 3 parts so they do fit on a medium sized printer.

The risers re-use the original screws and the sideskirts require a few M3 screws and/or tie-wraps to fix things in place if you want to (friction-fit is keeping things in place quite nicely already)

Why did I make this?

I recently upgraded my GPU and found that it was getting a lot toastier inside my case. I have a 360-radiator in the top with fans exhausting most of the warm air. For all the good Phanteks has done with the Enthoo Evolv X it has constricted the airflow too much for my liking, so I fixed it :D

How did I make this?

With patience, calipers and a lot of small test pieces. The design re-uses 1 of the 3 screw holes to hold the original plastic mounting pieces to fix the risers in place. The other 2 screws are used to re-use the original mounting pieces, preventing a lot of design and print challenges. It re-uses the original screws as well.
