Cable chain R28 10x20mm

Specifications:

Inner hole size: 10 x 20 mm (0.39 inches x 0.79 inches (height x width), outer hole size: 15 mm x 28 mm/0.59 inches x 1.10 inches (height x width). Bending radius: R28

Filament:

I recommend printing it from something durable and more flexible, if you print it from PLA or anything that is too brittle, it might break while being put together.

I used a cheap brand of ABS Pro filament and it works rather well.

I can imagine PETG or Nylon filament would also work fine although I haven't tested yet.

Update:

Fixed radius, it should be R28 now. This is tested as of November 4th 2023.

Assembly tips:

When assembling the chain links, unfortunately it is possible to snap off the little ‘ears’, the ends with the holes, which are meant to go over the knobs of the next link. It's also possible to just cause cracks on this end, these cracks don't make it useless however, it still stays together, nevertheless it's annoying.

To mitigate this

• It's important to choose a non-brittle filament.
• I had more consistent success when I was pushing in one side first in its place, then the other. Kinda sideways, tilted a bit.
