This set of “executive-size” (45mm) checkerboard squares is a simplified, frameless variant of Martin_au's larger modular modular tournament-size board. Interlock any number of squares to create a custom checkerboard grid. Common arrangements are as follows.

• 6×6 for Los Alamos Chess
• 8×8 grid for many versions of Chess; or for English, Italian, or Turkish Draughts
• 8×12 for Courier Chess
• 9×9 grid for Chancellor Chess or Modern Chess
• 10×10 for Grand Chess or Polish Draughts

Supports aren't needed. Black squares print inverted. White squares print with ironing. Curling of corners is the Devil, so do whatever it takes to prevent that. I had no such trouble printing black squares in eSun™ PLA, but for my white squares in Priline™ PLA I had to enhance the bed adhesion with blue tape.

This is a bit tedious to assemble, so I'm thinking of gluing it all together on a backing of corrugated-plastic political-campaign signage.
