Thermal Considerations & Material Choice

• Material: Must be printed in PETG (or higher temperature-resistant filaments like ASA/ABS).

• Why PETG? Standard PLA will deform at temperatures typical of kitchen environments near appliances, especially dishwashers. PETG offers the necessary glass transition temperature to maintain rigidity when exposed to the heat and steam generated by dishwasher cycles or nearby oven vents.

Printing Recommendations

• Infill: Minimum 40% (suggested: Gyroid for isotropic strength).

• Perimeters: At least 3-4 walls to ensure optimal stress distribution.

• Orientation: Print in the orientation provided in the STL to maximize layer adhesion along the primary stress axis.
