This is a handy holder for lapidary dops, or any other stick-like object of consistent diameter which you would like to hold vertically.

Models are provided for 0.25 inch and 6 mm dops. Start by printing the test standard fit file for your dop size; then, choose standard or looser fit based on your printer and preference.

Printing instructions

I used PLA at 0.25 layer height, but pretty much anything should work. For a correct fit, make sure the seams are placed in the corners of the teardrop holes. The slicer will usually do this automatically, if you don't have seam placement set to random.

Customization

If you'd like a file with more or fewer sockets, or larger/smaller sockets, leave a comment OR you can use the OpenSCAD source file to generate your own. The OpenSCAD source file requires the BOSL2 library. All of the settings you need are most likely available in the Customizer window.
