Description

This is a simple water bottle holder that you can print for your bike, with the added bonus of allowing you to discreetly hide an Airtag within it!

Design Specs:

  • This was created specifically for a Cannondale Quick 5 bike (that has 5mm diameter bolts and a center-to-center distance of 64mm between them) to hold a Gatorade-branded squeeze bottle (a circular bottle that's ~80mm in diameter). If you need to modify those values, the F3D file is attached with the relevant parameters that you can update accordingly!
  • If you intend to use the hidden Airtag compartment functionality, you will obviously need to input a pause within your print. The attached print file already includes this, but if you wish to make other edits to the print, the 3MF file is also attached!
  • The bolt holes do not include threading, but are instead countersunk to make installation easier. Simply unscrew the bolts, line up the holes and screw the bolts back in as tightly as you normally would. The part will be perfectly secured just as if you'd used an off-the-shelf water bottle holder!

Printing Tips:

  • The “arms” are designed to be at as small an angle as possible, however when initially printing it they tended to curl, so I recommend printing with supports if possible. This help with print stability and gives a cleaner print, and helps prevent you having to extract the Airtag from failed prints (take my word for it)… Organic supports really shine here!
  • Minimal infill required, I recommend increasing the perimeter walls to 3 if you can, and using only 10-15% Grid infill.
  • I also add Ironing to the part, as it helps with a cleaner finish, but is of course optional!
