Description
I designed these for a friend with a large collection of games and wanted them to be relatively quick and easy to make while looking good and being able to lock together in a way supports all sorts of sizes.
I've created several sizes of holder that accommodate many brands of console, split into folders based on the dimensions of their game cases.
Currently offered sizes and their compatible plaques are:
12.5mm x 120mm Cases, PSVITA - Switch
149mm Wide, 10 Games
14mm x 150mm Cases, Xbox One - Xbox Series X
147.6mm Wide, 9 Games
16.5mm x 120mm Cases, PSP
151.2mm Wide, 8 Games
16.5mm x 150mm Cases, PS2 - PS3 - PS4 - PS5 - Xbox 360
151.2mm Wide, 8 Games
With only a filament change at a layer height of 3.2mm you can have great looking multi coloured display plate for each holder, I've included blank plaques if anyone wishes to make or post their own versions for other consoles as well. Simply glue the plaques into a holder of the same or complimentary colour and they are done!
I intend to release more logos as I research the sizes of other game boxes and add more compatible options. The person reading this now can help me with this.
I printed my locking teeth out of PETG for them to be stronger and not stick to my PLA holders. Test them carefully before pushing them in all the way, they may need some sanding to let them fully insert without being to tight, there are slots in the bottom of the holders to allow a flathead screwdriver incase you accidentally connect your Xbox 360 holder to a PSVITA one by accident.
My first version of holders are designed to hold quite a few games but keep the size of each holder to within a small margin (3.6mm) and evenly fill several shelves. I will hopefully try and add some smaller variations later on.
If anyone has any questions about the design or would like to offer any solutions on how to improve it please let me know!
