Parametric Play-Doh Roller & Stamp Generator

I made this parametric Play-Doh roller generator in OpenSCAD so I could quickly create lots of different rollers instead of modelling each one individually.

The script generates rollers with different barrel textures and optional end stamps just by changing a few parameters. It’s ideal for making custom rollers for Play-Doh, clay, sensory play, or classroom activities.

Instead of downloading one fixed design, this file lets you generate dozens or even hundreds of unique rollers.

All settings are controlled by simple variables using the options and dropdowns in the customiser which you will find within the OpenSCAD file.

How to use

1. Open the .scad file in OpenSCAD

2. Adjust the parameters using the customiser 

3. Press F6 to render

4. Export the model as an STL

You can generate a new roller in seconds.

Printing

Designed to print easily on most FDM printers.

Suggested settings:

• Layer height: 0.2 mm

• Infill: 10–20%

• Supports: Not required

• Material: PLA works great

Printing flat on the base usually gives the best texture and stamp detail.
