This page includes a single project file (.3MF) containing all of the printed parts needed to build SolarSim - an inexpensive, open-source, benchtop solar simulator for the study of phototaxis - the movement of plants and algae in response to light.

SolaSim features a 7 panel array of inexpensive 8x8 neopixel LED panels and uses a Raspberry Pi Pico (RP2040:bit board) to run the simulation and control timelapse imaging parameters. The companion website (SolaSim Studio: https://odeepllama.github.io/SolarSim/) allows programmatic control of sun intensity, color, speed, direction and also allows repeats, time jumps, and pauses (just try doing that with the real sun!)

I am very new to creating and sharing projects like this, so please bare with me as I get everything uploaded and into shape.
