My 2009 Nissan Pathfinder wouldn't shift out of park without pressing the manual release button due to a faulty actuator between the brake pedal and the gear shift.  Fixing it requires tearing out the center console and wasn't worth my time.
Instead, the manual release button can be pressed but is annoying when you have to use a pen of key to press it.

I created this model to serve as a permanent button next to the shifter.  The model fits snuggly on the recessed button itself, and the collar keeps in in place.  The groves keeps it in place and avoids the button coming out.

Printed in multiple parts since you'll have to assemble the collar before putting the cap on.  I added a screw to help align the cap easily, but don't trust the screw alone.  I would glue it.

I printed in PLA at 100% fill and it works great.
Time will tell if weather and light will demand a better filament.
