Rhombic Dodecahedron Fractal Chunk | Level 6

Composed of rhombic dodecahedra arranged around an unidentified base shape. I’ll update the description once I learn its name.

This model is part of a larger structure that can be assembled by printing eight of these and gluing them together. I haven’t built the full version yet, and a single piece already looks great on its own, so one print is plenty for now.

A complete version that prints as one connected piece is planned for release soon, so keep an eye out for updates.

Print Settings:

Layer Height: 0.16mm.

Infill: 10%, gyroid.

Supports: None required, but overhangs may print cleaner with supports. I used default slicer settings, and the affected area is barely visible. Supports don’t add much print time on this model. I’ll share results if I test them later.

Brim: Use a brim for optimal adhesion. ( Skipping the brim may cause the print to FAIL.)

I printed this one on my Bambulab P1S, in Overture Dual-Color Matte PLA.
