Description
Lost Souls Bas Relief. Two Versions.
This is the happy accident that occurred when I failed to change the default denoising strength in image2image while using stable diffusion to clean up a low resolution uv map in a decorated archway model.
I created a depth map with owl3d. Used that as the first displacement. I did a second displacement with the color photo. Version two I attempted to use a deeper depth map. Did not do much.
I found that you cannot exaggerate the depth because the details from the second color picture displacement will not curve or follow into the depth except for what's at the very edge. Those fine details just sit on top the highest points for the most part. Which make things pretty… but not exactly what I am looking for. Not sure how to remedy this.
I would probably print this upright with the details on the y axis. not flat like I have it.
I didn't check out much of the options in owl3d… went with the standard preset for creating the depth Map.. It may be possible to get a better more defined depth map. I'm going to play with that a bit. (CHECKED.. didnt do much)
